A 5 day course covering basic seamanship including: knots, bends, hitches; splicing of roope and wire; whippings; deck safety; cranes; lookout/watch keeping duties and other related matters.

Suitable for Superyacht crew who are required to hold a Yacht Rating Certificate but who have not completed the necessary yacht and sea service.
Candidates must:
be at least 16 years of age
hold at least 2 months sea service in the deck department on a yacht with load line length of at least 15 metres or 4 months sea service in a dual role
hold STCW Basic Safety certificates

A 5 day course certificated by oral examination
